Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and maintain highly scalable and reusable applications and components using JavaScript frontend and Python backend.
• Lead a team of developers, participating in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Interact with end users to understand requirements, perform analysis, and create specifications and user documents. Design and implement PoC solutions.
• Drive technical design and architecture effort, in addition to hands-on development.
• Work with technical project managers and application directors to ensure that client expectations are met and that project schedules are adhered to.
• Set up best practices, gatekeepers, guidelines, and standards in the team.
• Initially, the role is remote; however, we eventually intend to make it hybrid.

Required Skills and Experience

• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work with a team.
• Minimum 6 years of hands-on developer experience with 1 year of leading projects.
• Strong understanding of OOP; architecture designs and patterns; and the latest web standards.
• Strong understanding of web development concepts and principles including RESTful APIs, HTTP protocols, JSONs, etc.
• Hands-on experience with frontend frameworks like React, Angular, JQuery, and grid frameworks like Syncfusion.
• Proficiency in database design and SQL, with hands-on experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases. Must be able to create and modify stored procedures, functions, triggers, packages, views, materialized views, and database links.
• Experience with Python web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git and agile development methodologies.
• Proficiency in developing CI/CD delivery pipelines including but not limited to building processes, testing, and deployments.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written communication, oral communication, and listening skills.
• Experience working with US financial institutions is a significant plus.
